1. Look at the color: qualified light diesel oil is tea-yellow, diesel oil and engine oil are green-blue to dark brown. Gear oil varies from black to dark green depending on the model. Grease: calcium-based grease is yellow-brown, sodium-based grease It is yellow or light brown, and calcium-sodium grease is light yellow-white.

2. Smell: diesel and engine oil have a pungent smell, gear oil has a burnt smell, light diesel has a heavier diesel smell, and calcium-based grease has an organic oil smell.

3. Touch by hand: light diesel oil is twisted by hand, with a smooth and oily feel. Diesel and engine oil are more viscous, twisted in water, and a little emulsification can shorten the silk. Gear oil is viscous, not easy to wipe off when touched with hands, and can tear. Grease: Calcium-based grease dipped in water will not emulsify, smooth and do not draw; sodium-based grease dipped in water will emulsify with kinetic energy and can be drawn; calcium-sodium grease dipped in water will not emulsify, not stick to your hands, and can draw slightly.

4. Bottling and shaking: light diesel oil is placed in a colorless transparent glass bottle about 2/3 of the height, and the oil does not hang in the bottle, and the bubbles generated are small and disappear slowly. Diesel and engine oil are bottled and shaken, the bubbles are less and difficult to disappear, and the oil hangs in the bottle. The gear oil is bottled and shaken, and the oil bottle hangs for a long time and the bottle is not clean.

The above simple identification methods only roughly identify the characteristics of commonly used oils, and the correct distinction between oils must be done by identifying the brand.
